The Indigo Kings was formed in early 2011 by the band’s bass player and lyrical mastermind, Carl, with nothing but a 'war & peace'-sized catalogue of scribbled words about heartache and desire and an empty barn with a resident polystyrene alligator.

The band play a tantalising mix of original jazz, blues and swing, and blend it with nostalgia to form 'vintage pop' songs that will have your foot tapping and your head swaying. The swinging piano, soulful blues guitar, roaring sax and delicious dual harmony vocals confirm that the music of yesteryear is back, reinvented and here to stay!
